Alena Sannikova

Alena Sjarhejewna Sannikawa (White Russian Алена Сяргеевна Саннікава, Russian Елена Сергеевна Санникова / Jelena Sergejewna Sannikowa; born June 12, 1980 in Nawapolazk ) is a Belarusian cross-country skier.

Career

Sannikawas first international competition was held in January 1998 at the Junior World Championships in Pontresina, where she placed at a good rank nineteenth over 15 kilometers. This result could not be repeated in the next two World Junior Championships, where they missed each the best thirty ranks. After she moved out, however, some positions near the top twenty in FIS races, it was nonetheless nominated for the first time for the Cross Country World Cup on 8 December 2000 in Santa Caterina. For Sannikawa launched at the Winter Universiade and the Nordic World Ski Championships 2001.
