Alenka Zupančič

Alenka Zupančič ( born April 1, 1966 in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian philosopher and Sozialtheoretikerin whose work focuses on psychoanalysis and continental philosophy.

Zupančič completed her PH.D. 1990 at the University of Ljubljana and is currently a member of the " Ljubljaner School of Psychoanalysis ." She has a research position at the Institute of Philosophy of the " Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts ".

The foundation for Alenka Zupančičs philosophical work was influenced primarily by Slovenian Lacanian - scientists, such as Mladen Dolar and Slavoj Žižek; but they also use tools and methods of classical philosophers such as Immanuel Kant, Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, and Henri Bergson. She is a specialist Friedrich Nietzsche and Lacan and has written a lot in the field of ethics, literature and psychoanalysis, written papers on comedy, love and duty, as well as Kant, Hegel, and Alain Badiou commented.
