Alessandra Aguilar

Alessandra Aguilar ( born July 1 1978 in Lugo) is a Spanish long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon.

Originally a track and cross runner, she moved in 2007 to the road race and achieved times of 32:26 minutes over 10 km ( 20 May 2007, at the Great Manchester Run) and 1:11:33 hours in the half marathon ( 3 February 2008 in Granollers ).

At her first marathon start, she was third at the 2008 Rotterdam Marathon in 2:29:03 h and thus qualified for the marathon in the Beijing Olympics, where she finished in 54th place.

In 2009 she won the Hamburg Marathon in 2:29:01 h
