Alessandro Nini

Alessandro Nini ( born 1 November 1805 in Fano near Pesaro, Italy, † December 27, 1880 in Bergamo) was an Italian composer.

Life

Alessandro Nini is now less well known for his operas, but by marrying the then famous soprano Marianna Barbieri - Nini (1818-1887), who first the role of Lady Macbeth in Verdi's opera ( premiered 1847 in Florence) embodied. Among Nini's work eight operas ( La marescialla d' Ancre is the most famous of them), sacred music, chamber music and symphonies. He also contributed to a portion of Messa per Rossini Requiem to the funeral mass of Rossini, namely in the fifth section of the II Sequentia, Ingemisco for tenor soloist and choir.
