The Aleutian Island chain, and Aleutian Island chain, (English Aleutian Range ) is a mountain range on the (Alaska, USA) Alaska Peninsula. It extends from the Chakachamna Lake (130 km west of Anchorage ) to Unimak Island Aleutian Islands. The northernmost part is also referred to as Chigmit Mountains and represents the transition from the Aleutian Island chain to the to the northeast subsequent Alaska dar.

The mountain range contains a large number of active volcanoes. On the mainland, its length is about 1,000 km. From a geological perspective, the Aleutian Island chain is further west in the Aleutian a partly covered by the sea extension on another 1600 km length. Default transport their wild landscape is largely undeveloped and can be reached only by boat or plane.
