Alevtina Biktimirova

Alevtina Valerevna Biktimirowa (Russian Алевтина Валерьевна Биктимирова, English transcription Alevtina Biktimirova, . Born September 10, 1982 in Cheboksary ) is a Russian marathon runner.

In 2004, she finished second at the Ottawa Marathon. In 2005, she took the same place at the Turin Marathon and placed at the Frankfurt Marathon with 2:25:12 h the current (as of 2008 ) course record, which also represents her personal best.

In a marathon of the European Athletics Championships 2006, she was sixth after they had beaten in this year's Boston Marathon on the same place.

In 2007, she was third at the Rotterdam Marathon and the Toronto Waterfront Marathon and won the Honolulu Marathon, in which she had grown in the previous second.

In 2008 she was beaten by then the tightest finish in the history of the women's race the Boston Marathon by two seconds of Dire Tune. Also the second place they finished the Chicago Marathon, and in Honolulu, she was fifth.

A fourth place at the Tokyo Marathon 2009 was followed by a ninth at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin, where she won the team classification of the Marathon World Cup along with Nailja Julamanowa Svetlana Zakharova and bronze.

In 2010 she won the Tokyo Marathon.

Alevtina Biktimirowa is 1,63 m tall, weighs 52 kg and is trained by Albina Mefodjewa.
