Alex Band

Max Alexander " Alex " Band ( born June 8, 1981 in Los Angeles, California) is an American singer and until 2005 he was the lead singer of the band The Calling. From 2004 to 2009 he was married to actress Jennifer Sky. When the band in 2005 decided to take a break, band announced that it aims at a solo career. He joined the record company and published in 2010 his first solo album We've all been there.

Biography

Alex Band began guitar lessons when he was eight years old. At 15 he left school and signed a recording contract with RCA Records. He received his degree he got by with private lessons. Band plays guitar, piano and saxophone. In the neighborhood where he grew up, he learned to know Aaron fireplace and the two formed a band called Generation Gap. They later changed their name to in Next Door and then in The Calling. In 2003 took Alex Band with Carlos Santana on a single titled Why Do not You and I.

Mid-2005 band split from his partner in The Calling and decided to pursue a solo career. He recorded his first solo album from 2007 to 2008, while he was with GR under contract. Because of difficulties with the record company, he announced his contract and founded his own label ( Alex Band Music).

2007 you could hear Alex Band on the soundtrack to the film The Bratz with the song It Does not Get Better Than This.

In 2008, he has an EP (Extended Play) published with five songs, available for download and is marketed as a CD of his official street team.

To promote his latest music, band performed as a visiting in the series CSI: NY ( Episode 5x12 Help ), in which he has embodied a musician suspected of murder. In addition, he is very committed to charitable organizations Donate Life and Make The Difference Network, by collecting donations, and plays at events on the stage.

On 19 March 2010 bands appeared first single from the solo album entitled Tonight as a digital download, and has since played in Germany on the radio. On 23 May 2012, the EP After the Storm was released on iTunes with five titles as a digital download.

In August 2013 The Calling announced her comeback. Just hours after announcing he was kidnapped and beaten shortly after a performance at a music festival of unknowns.

Famous Family

The family of Alex Band has always been very wealthy, his grandfather Max Band at that time was painter in Russia and Germany. His father is the well known horror film producer Charles Band, the band supported today by writing music for films. Previously band had brief appearances in films such as Puppet Master. His father's brother is the film composer Richard band.
