Alex Borstein
Alexandrea "Alex" Borstein (* February 15, 1973 in Highland Park, Illinois ) is an American actress, voice actress, screenwriter, producer and comedian.
Biography
Borstein was in Highland Park, a suburb of Chicago, born to Judy and Irving Borstein, but grew up in the suburb of Deerfield. She has two older brothers. Borstein was raised Jewish and moved to Southern California in the early 1980s. In 1989, she moved to San Francisco where she studied communications at San Francisco State University and in 1992 graduated. Then she went to the California State University, Northridge, and a master's degree in their desired major at. During her studies there, she joined the ACME Comedy Theatre. There she met Erin Ehrlich, their subsequent screenwriter partner with, inter alia, the television series Caspar, Histeria! and Pinky and the Brain.
Borstein was primarily known as a comedian in the show MADtv, but made himself as a producer and scriptwriter of the series Family Guy, in which they also FIG Lois Griffin lends her voice a name.
Since 1999, Borstein is with actor Jackson Douglas, who was beside her seen at MADtv, married. Originally she was also in the series Gilmore Girls take on the role of Sookie St. James, the wife of Douglas ' character Jackson Belleville, but had to drop out due to contractual difficulties. She played in the series only two small supporting roles: The harpist Drella and designer Miss Celine.
2006 Borstein was shared with Steve Callaghan, Gary Janetti and Chris Sheridan with a DVD Exclusive Awards in the Best Screenplay ( for a DVD Premiere Movie) category for the screenplay of Family Guy Presents: Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story Award.
