Alex Dowsett

Alex Dowsett ( born October 3, 1988 in Essex ) is an English track and road racing cyclist.

Alex Dowsett in 2005 was British champion in the individual time trial of the junior class. The next year he won the prologue at the Ster van Zuid Limburg and a section at the Tour du Pays de Vaud. In the British Championship he was able to defend his title in the time trial. In the 2007 season he won the Perfs Pedal Race and 2008 he was in Gloucester UK time trial champion in the U23 class. He could in the time trial at the 8th stage of the Giro d' Italia in 2013, a heavy 54.8 -kilometer time trial win his biggest success in the jersey of the reigning British Champion.

On the railway Alex Dowsett 2005 national runner-up was in the team pursuit and in 2006 he finished in third place. At the Junior Track Cycling World Cup in 2006 in Ghent, Belgium, he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit. In 2008 he was third in the Madison at the UK Championship.
