Alex Edmondson

Alexander Edmondson (born 22 December 1993, Miri, Malaysia ) is an Australian racing cyclist.

Sports career

After Alexander Edmondson had become as a junior driver 2009 national championships twice runner-up, in the points race and team pursuit, he was in 2011 at the Junior Track World Championships in Moscow, world champion in the team pursuit, together with Jack Cummings, Jackson Law and Alexander Morgan, and in the two - team driving with Law. In the same year he was already become an Australian champion in this discipline, with Rohan Dennis, Damien Howson and Glenn O'Shea. When you first run of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup 2011/2012 in the Kazakh Astana Edmondson won together with O'Shea the two - team driving and finished second in the team pursuit, together with O'Shea, Michael Freiberg and Mitchell Mulhern. 2013 Edmondson was in Minsk World Champion in the Team Pursuit, together with O'Shea, Morgan and Michael Hepburn.

Alexander Edmondson is a younger brother of cyclist Annette Edmondson. Both are nominated for the 2012 Olympic Games in London so that they are the first pair of siblings from Australia, which starts at the same games in cycling.
