Alex Holzwarth

Alex Holzwarth ( born October 4, 1968 in Landshut ) is a German drummer from the international power metal scene, which is active in the band Rhapsody of Fire. He is also the only member of the band since their split in 2011 into two daughter Bands ( Rhapsody of Fire Luca Turilli 's Rhapsody and ) active. By 2008, he was also the drummer for the progressive rock band Sieges Even. As a replacement drummer, he played in Angra and Blind Guardian, the latter jointly with his brother, bassist Oliver Holzwarth. He also contributed to the metal opera Avantasia. Alex Holzwarth teaches percussion at the music school Drummers Focus, where he is at that time was even students.
