Alex Jones (racing driver)

Alexander "Alex" Jones ( born September 27, 1988 in Anglesey, Wales ) is a British racing driver.

Career

Jones began his motorsport career in 2004 in karting, where he was active until 2006. 2007 Jones made ​​his debut in Formula racing and participated in four rounds of the British Formula Ford. In 2008 he graduated from the full-scale British Formula Ford season for different teams and reached the 17th place in the drivers' standings. In 2009, he remained in this series and improved with a pole position and a podium placement at 13th overall.

After a hiatus of several years Jones received a cockpit at Brooks Associates Racing for the 2012 season of Indy Lights. Although he was already reported for the season opener, he did not play due to budget problems. His debut in the Indy Lights he finally gave in the third race, which was his only start of the season.
