Alex Ribeiro
Alex Dias Ribeiro ( born November 7, 1948 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil ) is a Brazilian automobile racing driver.
He drove in the years 1976 and 1977 in Formula 1 His best finish was an eighth place at the Grand Prix of Germany in 1977, he was able to confirm at the Grand Prix of Canada in the same year again. In 1979 he came twice to the team of his fellow countryman Emerson Fittipaldi, but could not qualify. Attentive to Ribeiro was the Hesketh Racing team when he was Brazilian Formula Ford champion in 1973. These successes from his early days he could not confirm, however, in Formula 1.
After his playing career, he was until 2008 driver of the Medical Cars Formula 1
Ribeiro, who always bore the inscription " Jesus saves" on the helmet, was one of the most prominent members of the association " Christians In Motorsport ".
