Alexander Buchmann

Alexander Buchmann ( born January 24, 1982 in Trondheim / Norway ) is a retired Norwegian handball player. Its body length is 1.89 m.

Buchmann, who last played for French club U.S. Ivry and HB aground for the Norwegian men's national handball team, was mostly used on the rear center of the room.

Alexander Buchmann played in his youth for Astor, Byåsen Håndball Elite, Sjetne and in the 1999/2000 season for the reserve of the SG Flensburg -Handewitt. On his return to Norway he joined the first division Heimdal Håndballklubb and grew to become fast top scorer and leading players. In summer 2003, but he adopted the second approach in Germany, this time in the first team of SG Flensburg -Handewitt. However, he remained behind Glenn Solberg and Christian Berge only third choice on the playmaker position, so that he was from November loaned to Danish club Aarhus GF and eventually sold to the French club U.S. Ivry HB in January. As a replacement for Buchmann committed Flensburg Kjetil beach. After one and a half years in the Parisian suburb Club Buchmann decided to switch to BM Altea in the Spanish league ASOBAL. Alexander Buchmann has been disputed 61 caps for the Norwegian men's national handball team. Due to bad experiences with former youth team coaches he hesitated a long time, ever to compete for his country. It was not until the age of 23 he made his debut at last. With Norway he participated in the European Handball Championship in 2006 and at the World Handball Championship for Men in 2007 in Germany in part, but different both times already after the first round and finished in the latter at the end of the 13th Place. For the European Handball Championship in Norway in 2008, he did not participate due to injury.
