Alexander Engel

Alexander Engel ( born June 4, 1902 in Berlin, † July 25, 1968 in Saarbrücken ) was a German actor and director. The stage name " Alexander", he accepted to avoid confusion with the popular musician at the same time Kurt Engel. His birth name is Kurt Engel.

Life

Alexander Engel was born the son of Helene Henry. He received at the rich man 's Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin his acting training. From 1923 he stood on stage in Olsztyn, Königsberg and Rostock. His brother Rudolf Engel was temporarily CEO of DEFA and has fought as a resistance fighter against National Socialism.
