Alexander Ludwig ( born January 31, 1984 in Walter Oberhausen) is a German football player. Last played attacking midfielder until the summer of 2013 for FC Energie Cottbus.

Career

Clubs

Louis began playing football at Eintracht Wechmar later he played for Wacker Gotha. Subsequently, he belonged until 2000 to the youth department of FC Rot -Weiß Erfurt. From 2000 to 2002 he played in the U19 Werder Bremen.

In 2002 he went to the German capital and joined Hertha BSC. There he played primarily in the reserve team. Until 2005 it was used 56 times, scoring 16 goals. On August 2, 2003, he came to his pro debut in the Bundesliga when he came off the bench on the first season game day match against Werder Bremen. By the end of the season he came up with three other short assignments. In the following season he was no longer used in the first team.

For the season 2005/ 06 Ludwig was loaned to second-division Dynamo Dresden. At the end of the season Dynamo put up at the Regional and Ludwig remained an additional year in Dresden. In these two seasons Ludwig played 44 league games for the SGD and scored twelve goals.

In the summer of 2007 he moved to FC St. Pauli, who had risen straight to the 2nd Bundesliga. There he was employed until 2009 a total of 57 times and came to scoring twelve times.

For the season 2009/10 he moved to league rivals TSV 1860 Munich, he signed with the Lions a two-year contract. After he had come into this season under coach Ewald Lienen used regularly, it was a year later under his successor Reiner Maurer only reservist. He came into the season 2010/11 on 19 missions, but it only four over the full length.

From the 2011/12 season he played for FC Energie Cottbus. However, in Cottbus, he could not convince as hoped and so the club was still over the 2012/13 season announced that Louis will not receive a new contract in Lusatia. In October 2013 Louis moved to Sportfreunde Lotte in the Regionalliga West.

National

Between 2004 and 2005 came Louis six times for the German U- 21 team to use. He scored two goals.
