Alexander Radwan

Alexander Gamal Radwan ( born August 30, 1964 in Munich) is a German politician ( CSU).

Alexander Radwan was born in 1964 the son of a Christian Egyptian father and a German. After completing his studies in mechanical engineering in the field of aircraft as a graduate engineer ( FH) 1987 Radwan studied law and laid in 1995, the second legal state exam. He then worked in the telecommunications industry. He was admitted as a lawyer.

His political career began in 1989 as a district chairman of the Junge Union rotten creek. From 1994 to 1999 he was District Chairman of the Junge Union Upper Bavaria; besides, he was president of the Young Alpine region during his JU- time.

From 1999 to 2008 Radwan was a member of the European Parliament and Member of the Executive Board of the European People's Party. He was coordinator of the EPP- ED Group in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries. he is one of the founding members of the German European Security Association, founded in 2006.

Alexander Radwan 's Upper Bavarian district chairman and was deputy chairman of the SME Union. From 2005 to 2011 he served as state treasurer and member of the Party Board and Executive Committee of the CSU. In addition, he is a member of the CSU board members at local, regional and district level.

In the Bavarian state election 2008 he won ( electoral district of Upper Bavaria ) for the CSU with 43.1% the direct mandate in the voting district rotten creek. In the general election in 2013, he won in the constituency Starnberg the direct mandate and moved into the Bundestag.

Since Saturday, October 19, 2013 he is head of the Federal Water Rescue Germany.
