Alexander Resch

Alexander Resch ( born April 5, 1979 in Berchtesgaden ) is a former German luger.

Together with his partner he was Patric Leitner 1999, 2000, 2004 and 2007 world champion in doubles. 1999, 2003 and 2007 were both German masters.

The highlight of his career was winning the gold medal in doubles at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. At the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, the favored double occupied, however, only the sixth. Four years later she won at the Olympic Games in Vancouver by an excellent second run in the final race of her career bronze, after they had lain in the first run only on rank 5.
