Alexander Scrymgeour, 12th Earl of Dundee

Alexander Henry Scrymgeour of Dundee, 12th Earl of Dundee ( born June 5, 1949) is a conservative British politician.


He is the son of Henry Scrymgeour - Wedderburn, 11th Earl of Dundee and Patricia Montagu Douglas Scott. Dundee attended Eton College and was from 1964 to 1965 Page honor of Queen Elizabeth II, he studied at the University of St. Andrews. Since 1983, he is sitting in the House of Lords and was elected in 1999 as a Hereditary Peer in the House of Lords. From 1986 to 1989 he was a Lord -in- Waiting to the Chief Whip of the Conservative Party in the House of Lords. From 1986 to 1988 he was the spokesman of the government for education, from 1986 to 1989 the spokesman for Scotland as well as the spokesman for interior policy and for energy from 1987 until 1989.

With his wife Siobhan Mary Llewellyny he has been married since 1979 and has four children.


He is both Honorary Consul of Croatia in Edinburgh as well as support of Prince Branimir - Order with collar.
