Alexander Straub (athlete)

Alexander Straub ( born October 14, 1983 in Geislingen ) is a German pole vaulter.

His first major international success came Straub by winning the bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships 2009 in Turin ( 5.76 m). He was also 2007 World Champion students.

In 2009 he also won the German championship title of the assets, which he qualified at the same time for the world championships in Berlin for the first time. Back in 2005, Straub had become German champions the U23 juniors.

At the World Indoor Championships in Doha in 2010 he won the bronze medal with a height of 5.65 m skipped.

His best performances are at 5.81 m and 5.80 m in the open air in the hall. Straub starts for the LG Fils Valley.

At a height of 1.80 m his weight is specified at 73 kg. Straub is enrolled as a student of chemical engineering at the University of Stuttgart.
