Life

As a student of Stanislavsky and Meyerhold Tairov observer called in consequence of his experiences and reflections of him a so-called "synthetic theater " in response to naturalism ( thesis ) and the style stage ( antithesis ) of his time. Tairov defined his theater of synthesis as " neorealistisch ". He had great success after initial difficulties both at home and abroad.

Tairov presented despite high standards of art, directing, stage / costume clearly and repeatedly the actor as an essential and defining element of the theater in the center. He therefore called strongly and conclusive in-depth training of the actor.

Tairov considered fully trained actors as independent artists whose art, in addition to a certain amount of talent, especially springs from a learned craft. He demystified so decisively the profession of the actor and the theater itself, to disenchant without both. Tairov presented in addition to also criteria so that this spell can arise in the theater. Is one of his laconic / dialectical principles to: "Theatre is theater." He died in a psychiatric hospital Solowiewskaja.
