Alexander Zverev (tennis player, born 1997)

Alexander Zverev ( born April 20, 1997 in Hamburg ) is a German tennis player. He is regarded as currently the largest tennis talent in Germany.

Personal

Alexander Zverev is the younger brother of Mischa Zverev, who is also active as a tennis pro. His father, also named Alexander, is a former Soviet tennis player who completed several missions in the Davis Cup. He is also the current coach of his son Alexander. Zverev left after the tenth grade education in order to fully concentrate on tennis.

Career

His first big success came Alexander Zverev through his finals in the Junior Singles of the French Open 2013., Where he defeated the Chilean Christian Garín with 4:6 and 1:6. His first match on the ATP World Tour, he played thanks to a wildcard at the age of 16 years at a tournament in Hamburg in July 2013, where he lost in the first round against Roberto Bautista Agut in two sets.
