Alexandra Zabelina

Alexandra Ivanovna Sabelina ( born March 11, 1937 in Moscow) is a former Russian foil fencer.

It began in 1953 with the fencing and was from 1956 to 1972 the Soviet national team. At the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, 1968 in Mexico City and in Munich in 1972 she won the Soviet team in each case the gold medal in foil team competition.

In addition, it was established in 1957 and 1967 individual World Champion and 1961 and 1966 World silver medalist. With the team, she won in 1956, 1958, 1961, 1963, 1966, 1970 and 1971, the world championship title as well as 1959, 1962, 1967 and 1969, the silver medal.

She was awarded the Soviet Union with the honorary title " Honoured Master of Sports" and included in the Russian Hall of Fame of fencing 2005.
