Alexandre Exquemelin

Alexandre Olivier Exquemelin, John Esquemeling or Oexmelin, (* 1645, † around 1707) is the author of " De Americaensche Zee - Rovers " ( German: The American privateer; Amsterdam, Jan ten Hoorn, 1678).

Origin

Exquemelin probably comes from the French port town of Honfleur.
