Alexandre Lippmann

Alexandre Lippmann ( born June 11, 1881 in Paris, † February 23, 1960 ) was a French fencer and two-time Olympic champion.

Lippmann took the first time in London in 1908 participate in the Olympics. With the French team, he won the gold medal in epee fencing. In the individual competition took second place behind compatriot Gaston Alibert. Twelve years later, at the Games in Antwerp, he won the bronze medal in the team competition and the individual behind his teammate Armand Massard the silver medal. In Paris in 1924, he took part again with the French team and won his second Olympic gold medal.
