Alexandre R. Picard
Alexandre R. Picard ( born July 5, 1985 in Hull, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who was most recently at the HC Lev Prague in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.
Career
Alexandre Picard began his career as a hockey player in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, where he was active for the Halifax Mooseheads and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles from 2001 to 2005. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the third round than a total of 85 players from the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he made his debut in the National Hockey League in the 2005/06 season.
After two and a half years with the Flyers in which Picard regularly for their farm team in the American Hockey League, the Philadelphia Phantoms played, he was transferred on 25 February 2008 on the Tampa Bay Lightning. For the Lightning, he scored until the end of the season in 20 games overall scorer six points, including three goals. Before the season 2008/ 09, the Canadians received a contract with the Ottawa Senators. In February 2010, he was released in a swap deal to the Carolina Hurricanes for the Picard graduated nine games before he as a free agent signed a contract with the Montreal Canadiens in July 2010.
On July 5, 2011 Picard received a Zweiwegvertrag for a year with the Pittsburgh Penguins and was subsequently mostly in the Wilkes -Barre Scranton Penguins in the AHL for use, where he also was an assistant captain.
From July 2012, Picard was the HC Lev Prague from the Kontinental Hockey League contract before it was wound up in December of the same year.
