Alexandre Rey

Career

Rey began his career in 1990 at FC Sion, with whom he won the 1991 Swiss Cup and 1992 National League A. In 1994 he moved to FC Basel. In 1996 he went back to Sion. In October 1997 he joined Servette Geneva. With Servette 1999 he became Swiss champion. During the winter break of the season 2000/ 01 he moved to FC Luzern, which he left in the winter break of the season 2001/ 02 towards Neuchâtel Xamax. With Xamax he took part in the 2003 FA Cup final, but lost to FC Basel 0:6. In 2006, he finished his career. Today he works in the administration of Xamax.

Rey also played 18 games for the Swiss national football team. This reach him five goals, three of them in the World Cup qualifying match for the World Cup 2006 against the Faroe Islands.
