Alexandre Schaumasse

Alexandre show mass (* 1882, † 1958) was a French astronomer.

During the First World War ( 1914) he was severely wounded and spent over a year in the hospital.

Overall, he discovered three comets: the periodic comets 24P/Schaumasse in 1911 and the non-periodic comet C/1913 J1 ( show ground) (also called 113 II) and C/1917 H1 ( show mass ) (or 1917 II).

He discovered further that two asteroids (971) Alsatia ( 23 November 1921) and ( 1114 ) Lorraine ( 17 November 1928). He even dedicated the asteroid (1797 ) show mass.
