The University of Alexandria (Arabic: جامعة الإسكندرية ) is the University of the city of Alexandria and the second largest university in Egypt. The modern University of Alexandria, was a four year old offshoot of the University of Cairo in 1942 (then Farouk University) founded and then consisted of seven faculties.
