Alexandros Tzorvas

Alexandros Tzorvas (Greek Αλέξανδρος Τζόρβας, born August 12, 1982 in Athens ) is a Greek football player and acts on the position of the goalkeeper.

Career

His career began Alexandros Tzorvas in the youth academies of Panathinaikos Athens in which he played until the summer of 2001. After a contract with the club based in Crete Agios Nikolaos Tzorvas changed in January 2003 to FC Marko, before returning to Panathinaikos Athens in the summer of the same year and there signed a professional contract. In 2004 he also won the trophy next to the Greek championship. In the summer of 2005 Tzorvas was loaned for half a year at the Athens club Thrasyvoulos Fylis. In the 2007/2008 season Tzorvas was loaned to OFI Crete. End of August 2011 he moved to Palermo.

National

By Otto Rehhagel Tzorvas was for the 2008 European football championships in Austria and Switzerland as the third goalkeeper behind Antonios Nikopolidis and Konstantinos Chalkias nominated, but came to no use. At his first international appearance came Tzorvas on 19 November 2008 at the home game 1-1 against Greece, the Italian national team. In the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, he was goalkeeper of the Greek team and competed in all three games between the posts.
