Alexey Okladnikov

Alexei Pavlovich Okladnikow (Russian Алексей Павлович Окладников; * 20 Septemberjul / October 3 1908greg in Konstantinowschtschina, today Schigalowski district, Irkutsk Oblast, .. † November 18, 1981 in Novosibirsk ) was a Russian archaeologist, historian and ethnographer.

From 1962 he was professor of history at the Novosibirsk State University, founded in 1959. Since 26 June 1964 he was a corresponding member, from November 26, 1968 Member of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.

Okladnikow was twice (1950 and 1973 ) awarded the State Prize of the USSR, and with the Order of Lenin.
