Alexis Valido

José Alexis Valido Moreno ( born March 9, 1976 in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria ) is a former Spanish national volleyball player.

Alexis Valido began with the volleyball in his home in Gran Canaria. He later played on the Spanish mainland in Gijon and Malaga. In 2000, the Libero in the German Bundesliga for VfB Friedrichshafen, where he was a crowd favorite. Valido here was four times German champion and won six times in a row, the DVV Cup. He was one of the best defensive players in the Bundesliga and acceptance for six years and was elected regularly to the rank lists of Volleyball magazine on top positions. In 2006, Valido to top French club Tours Volley -Ball and 2007 returned to Spain to Unicaja Almería, where he had to end his career after a knee operation in 2010.

Alexis Valido played 170 internationals for the Spanish national team. He took to the 2000 Sydney Olympics and 2002 World Cup in Argentina in part.

Today Alexis Valido moved back to his home in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
