Alfiz

A Alfiz is probably from the Arabic حيز / ḥayyiz /, area ' native name for an architectural decorative element in the form of a rectangular frame around a round window or door opening. The gusset ( albanega ) are often filled with areal jewelry. These frames are common in Islamic architecture and characteristic of the Mudejar architecture in Spain and the fact CONTINUED architecture.
