Alfonso Caycedo

Alfonso Caycedo ( born November 19, 1932 in Bogotá, Colombia ) is a Spanish psychiatrist and founder of relaxation therapy.

Life

In Colombia, born to Spanish parents Basque origin Caycedo completed his schooling there and then studied medicine in Madrid, Spain, specializing in the fields of neurology and psychiatry. He dealt with the medical use of hypnosis, met with Ludwig Binswanger together and founded in 1960, then a professor of psychiatry at the School of Medicine in Barcelona and director of the psychosomatic department of the University Hospital of Barcelona Sophrologie, a relaxation technique, specifically with their help after own needs with the confidence to be worked.
