Alfonso Ribeiro

Alfonso Ribeiro ( born September 21, 1971 in New York City, New York) is an American actor, dancer and singer.

Life

Alfonso Ribeiro's parents came from Trinidad to the United States. He studied at California State University in Los Angeles. At the age of eight, he began his acting career in the drama hit me again. As an actor and a dancer, he was seen for the first time through his participation in the Broadway musical The Tap Dance Kid in 1983.

His dancing talent did not go unnoticed and he was in 1984 in a Pepsi advertisement with Michael Jackson, in which he is a little dancing boy with red leather jacket and glitter glove that meets all of a sudden to his idol Michael Jackson. Ribeiro marketed in the following years by television advertising dance choreographies Breakin 'and Poppin', which were very similar to the dance style of Michael Jackson. In 1984 he was hired for the Silver Spoons U.S. series. The international audience, he became known as an actor for his role as Carlton Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Other roles he played in the horror film C2 - Killer insect ( ticks, 1993) and in the TV movie Kidz in the Wild ( 1996). Ribeiro also worked in the music video for the movie Wild Wild West with Will Smith. 2012 and 2013, he has for several episodes of Shake It Up - Dance all directing is conducted and played in an episode a small supporting role as a teacher. In the fall of 2013, Ribeiro participants in I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here, the British original of I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here! .

Ribeiro was married from 2002 to 2006 to actress Robin Stapler. The couple has a daughter. In October 2012, Ribeiro married a second time.
