Alfred-Auguste Cuvillier-Fleury

Alfred -Auguste Cuvillier -Fleury ( born March 18, 1802 in Paris, † October 18, 1887 ) was a French writer and journalist.

Life

Cuvillier -Fleury made ​​his studies at the Collège Louis -le- Grand and spent two years as secretary of the King of Holland, Louis Bonaparte, whom he followed into exile, later tutor to the young Henri d' Orléans, duc d' Aumale and took over in 1834 the editors of the "Journal des Débats ," in which he championed the cause of the July Monarchy to its end. 1866 elected him to the French Academy as the successor of the late André Dupin ( fauteuil 35)
