Alfred DelBello

Alfred B. DelBello ( born 1944 ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party.

Career

Alfred B. DelBello was mayor of Yonkers (New York) and the first Democrat who held the post of the Westchester County Executive, before he was elected in 1982 as Vice- Governor of New York. He won the Democratic nomination for the office of lieutenant governor as his running mate by Ed Koch, the former mayor of New York City. Koch confirmed him as his running mate because he thought he would help with the cooking suburban voters. DelBello was the Ambassador Carl McCall, the running mate of then Lieutenant-Governor Mario Cuomo in the Democratic primaries against.

In December 2006, DelBello was appointed by the Westchester County Association, an economic interest group, the head of a Property Tax Reform Commission to maintain prosperity in Westchester County with the purpose.
