Alfred Gerdes ( born October 25, 1917 in Berlin, † December 10, 1962, also Fredy Gerdes ) was a German hockey player.

At the age of 18 years Gerdes took part in Berlin at the Olympic Games in 1936. There he played in three games, first with the two victories in the preliminary round and the semi-finals, then at the 1:8 defeat against defending champions India in the final. Before that Afghanistan had been beaten 4-1 and Netherlands 3-0.
