Alfred Zeisler

Alfred Zeisler ( born September 26, 1892 in Chicago, Illinois, USA, † March 1, 1985 in Camano Iceland, USA ) was a German actor, film producer and director who began the silent movie era to participate in films.

Life

Zeisler was born on 1892 in Chicago, the son of actor Moritz Zeisler. His first film experience he gained with the 1921 film shot The tired death, in which he was allowed to sit for the first time on set as an assistant director. He wrote in 1923 his first screenplay for the film rivals, later turned his first film behind the scenes of the Reich Postal (1925) and was the first time in the film The Carmen of St. Pauli front of the camera.

Among his best known films as a director include mainly the shot in the sound film studio ( 1930), thwart (1932 ) with Heinz Rühmann, shot at dawn (1932 ), The Star of Valencia (1933 ) Crime Over London ( 1936), The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss (1936) and Fear ( 1946).

As a producer, he produced films like The blonde Nightingale (1930 ), The Tiger ( 1930), shot at dawn (1932 ), Viktor und Viktoria (1933 ), Gold ( 1934) and The Amazing Quest of Ernest Bliss (1936). As an actor, he starred in Bird of Paradise (1951 ) What Price Glory ( 1952) The Desert Rats ( 1953).

Alfred Zeisler was married to actress Lien Deyers.
