Alfred Zulkowski

Alfred Zulkowski ( born August 12, 1940October 19, 1989 in Wismar ) was a German football goalkeeper.

Zulkowski began playing football at the domestic BSG Motor Wismar, before moving to DDR -division club forward Neubrandenburg 1960. After a year in the four gates city he moved in January 1962 further into the DDR - Oberliga for ASK Vorwärts Berlin. Even without the use he could win his first national championship in the capital after half a year. As a goalkeeper, he won his second Masters 1965 title, nor should two more to follow in 1966 and 1969. After Zulkowski retired with the Berliners 1967-1969 three times in a row in the semifinals of fdgb Cup, he also won the national cup competition for the first time in 1970 after 4-2 victory in the final against 1.FC Lok Leipzig.

After the FC Vorwärts Berlin 1971 to Frankfurt ( Oder) has been delegated, pulled Zulkowski not bother with in footballing province. Instead, he joined the unterklassigen BSG NARVA Berlin, with which he was able to rise again for one year in the second-rate DDR League 1974.

On December 16, 1962, the skilled shipbuilders was appointed at the Africa trip of the GDR selection against Guinea to his only senior international use. He could not later assert against the Rostock goalkeeper Jürgen Heinsch and the Leipzig goalkeeper Horst Weigang. Next came yet Zulkowski to use one in the B team and three in the U -23.

After the end of his sporting career Zulkowski worked as a carbon support and died at 49 in his home town of Wismar.
