Alfredo Prucker

Alfredo Prucker ( born May 13, 1926) is a former Italian ski jumper.

Career

Prucker gained his first success at the national level. In the Italian Championships 1947, he won the bronze medal in the individual Nordic Combined. The following year he won the silver medal behind Rizzieri Rodeghiero. He then got in the following year a place at the Olympic Winter Games in 1948 in St. Moritz. Once he reached there in cross-country skiing individual 29th place, he was able to significantly improve over the combination as eleventh. Having only reached rank 22 in jumping, he eventually landed in individual only ranked 14

In 1950, he succeeded in winning the Italian league title. 1951 Prucker had again beaten Rizzieri Rodeghiero before to 1954 three times in a row, won the title of 1952. At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 he was unable to repeat the performance in St. Moritz and only reached rank 39 However, in the single combination of an improvement he succeeded ranked 12th

In the Italian Championships 1954 he was next to the title in the combination for the first time to win a medal in cross country and won bronze. In the Nordic World Ski Championships 1954 in Falun Prucker reached in cross-country skiing individual over 15 km of the 62nd. 1955 and 1956 he won the fifth and sixth Italian championship titles in the combination. He also won bronze again in 1956 in cross country skiing.

In Cortina d' Ampezzo, he started a little later at the Olympic Winter Games in 1956 no longer cross-country skiing, however, increased for the first time the team of the Olympic ski jumpers. From the normal hill he landed with jumps of 67.5 and 68.5 meters on the 38th. In individual nordic combined with eighth place he achieved the best Olympic result of his career.
