Algeria national futsal team
The Algerian National Team Futsal is a representative selection of Algerian futsal players. The team represents the Algerian Football Federation at international meetings. The team took part in the first 1989 Futsal World Cup under the auspices of FIFA, but has since been only sporadically in appearance.
Performance in tournaments
Algeria in 1989, invited by FIFA to take part in the Futsal World Cup in the Netherlands. In a group of the Netherlands, Paraguay and Denmark was finished the group stage after three defeats in last place in the standings. Until next international appearance of an Algerian Futsal Teams lasted until 1998, then there was again a break until 2005. Among recent tournament performances of the national team came in 2010, in part with participation in futsal tournament of the Union of North African Football Federations and the Mediterranean Futsal Cup. At one qualification for the Futsal World Cup or African Cup of the national team has never participated, however.
