Algiers Province

The Province Algiers (Arabic ولاية الجزائر, al - DMG Wilāyat Ǧazā ʾ ​​ir) is a province ( wilaya ) in northern Algeria.

The province includes the capital, Algiers and some of its suburbs ( listed here ) and has an area of 865 km2.

It is the most densely populated and industrialized most province of the country, approximately 3,311,976 people (1 January 2007 ) live in the province, the population density is thus 3,829 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The provincial capital is Algiers.

The province is divided into 13 counties ( Daïras ) and 57 municipalities.
