Algorta is a village in Uruguay.

Geography

It is located in the Cuchilla de Haedo in the central northern part of the department of Río Negro in the sector 12 Algorta borders the Nachbardepartamento Paysandú and is located north of Villa General Borges. A few kilometers east of the village is the source of the Don Esteban Arroyo, whose tributary Arroyo Don Esteban Chico springs already near the eastern edge Algortas.
