Alhaji Abdoulie Cham

Alhaji Abdoulie Cham ( born August 24, 1960) is a politician in the West African nation of Gambia.

After a series of certificates acquired 1989 Chambertin the Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering Honour at the University of Sierra Leone. He earned additional certificates and 1996 a Diploma in Management in Telecommunications at British Telecom (United Kingdom). More certificates joined in 1999 and Master of Science in Operational Telecommunications at Coventry University ( UK ).

His professional career began in the Gambia Telecommunications Company ( Gamtel ) as a technician and sat through several stages to the manager continued. When Gamcel, the mobile subsidiary of Gamtel, he was the project manager responsible for the construction and installation of the GSM network. It was the first of its kind in the country, which was given on May 25, 2001 order. In addition, Cham taught more than a decade mathematics and basics of telex, fax and mobile technicians and customer service representative of Gamtel and Gamcel.

On August 21, 2008, State Secretary at the Ministry of Communication, Information and Information Technology (English Ministry of Communications, Information and Information Technology ). On 4 February 2010 Cham was (English Minister of Information and Communication Infrastructure) appointed by President Yahya Jammeh to the cabinet as Minister of Information and communication infrastructure and is the successor of Fatim Badjie.
