Alhaji Jeng

Alhaji Jeng ( born December 13, 1981 in Banjul, The Gambia) is a Swedish pole vaulter.

When he was three months old, he came from his birthplace in Gambia to Sweden, but continued up to the age of 18 the nationality of his country of birth. On 31 December 1999, he received Swedish citizenship.

Achievements

Alhaji Jeng won the silver medal (5.70 m) at the World Indoor Championships in Moscow in 2006. In 2005 and 2006 he was in each of the indoor and outdoor Swedish champion in the pole vault, 2003, he won the Swedish U23 Indoor Championships in the heptathlon, where he set a personal best. At the European Championships in 2005, he occupied the hall just like at the Junior World Championships 2000 8th place
