Alhama de AlmerÃa
Alhama de Almería [ ala.ma dE al.meɾi.a ], from Arabic al - Hamma / الحمة / hot source ', is a city in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It belongs to the province of Almería.
Geographical location
Alhama de Almería is located about 4 km from the southeast corner of the nature reserve of the Sierra Nevada ( Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada) away. The distance to Almería in the southeast is approximately 25 kilometers by road. The highway A 348 to Almería runs along the Rio Andarax, partly in its valley.
Attractions
Alhama of Almeria is known for its spa for rheumatism and nervous disorders. The medicinal water contains carbonate of calcium, phosphorus and iron.
