Ali Akbar Heidari

Ali Akbar Heidari (Persian علی اکبر حیدری, * July 14, 1941 ) is a former Iranian Freistlilringer. He was a participant at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo in 1964.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo, he joined in on " flyweight (52 kg) " and was behind Jang- Chang Seon ( South Korea) and Yoshikatsu Yoshida of Japan by third parties and thus won bronze.

Ali Akbar Heidari also belonged to the levy of the Iranian national team wrestler in the Wrestling World Championships 1965 in Manchester. Although inter alia, he the eventual runners- Baju Baew from Bulgaria beat, he just missed out on a medal and finished fourth.

His last medal he won at the Asian Games in 1966 in Bangkok, when he won bronze in the flyweight.
