Alice Brown (athlete)

Alice Brown ( born September 20, 1960 in Jackson, Mississippi) is a former American sprinter. She was twice Olympic champion and world champion once.

Brown competed at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and won the 100-meter run, the silver medal behind Evelyn Ashford (USA) and Merlene Ottey ago (JAM ). In the 4 × 100 m relay she took the gold medal together with teammates Jeanette Bolden, Chandra Cheese Borough and Evelyn Ashford. At the World Athletics Championships 1987 in Rome, she also won the gold medal in the 4 × 100 m relay.

At the Olympic Summer Games in Seoul in 1988, she won again with the team the gold medal in the 4 × 100 m relay with teammates Sheila Echols, Florence Griffith Joyner and Evelyn Ashford.
