Alice Hoffman

Alice Hoffman ( born March 16, 1952 in New York City ) is an American writer.

Hoffman's work, so far, inter alia, fifteen books for adults and six children, is characterized by elements such as magic, irony and unusual love relationships and has been translated into more than twenty languages ​​.

Biography

Alice Hoffman grew up on Long Iceland.

After her high school graduation in 1969 Alice short time worked at Doubleday, but decided nevertheless to study.

So she enrolled at Adelphi University, where she attained a BA. Shortly after, she received a scholarship for the ' Creative Writing Center ' at Stanford University, which she attended 1973-1974 and eventually made their MA.
